Kaziranga National Park (KNP), a name known all over the world for the successful conservation of one horned Great Indian Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis). Starting with a dozens of rhinos or so at the beginning of the last century, today the park is home to more than 70% of world’s population of Indian Rhinoceros. Being situated within the flood plain of mighty River Brahmaputra, the Kaziranga National Park is a veritable storehouse of biodiversity.
